"For me the real benefit has been the setting of goals outside of the usual motor trade parameters (the budget). Then breaking it down into strategies and prioritising it accordingly and to have it all laid out as a plan of attack; because if you were to just focus on the end result it can seem like too big a target to achieve. I personally like a methodical structured way of doing things so this has worked very well for me. Looking back on our achievements as a team, we achieved some exceptional results. Reducing outflows by 10% felt ambitious in May last year, but we surpassed expectation comfortably.
